About Persorecords
Persorecords was founded in 1998 to sell my crap on the MP3.com website. At this time you could sell your own CDs and even make money out of streaming. I still use this netlabel name to release tracks here and there but as the name says it, it's for personal use only.
Chronology
Here's a chronologic list of totally "wow I'm speechless" events (to be completed) :
- 1987 : My first sequencer (Amiga 1000). I just can't remember the name of this score editor but it was pretty cool : four tracks, "great" sound, you could print the result if you had a printer.
- 1989 : My first synth (Roland d-20). I remember I was bored of those poor sounds very quick after buying it. But the sequencer was ok. I composed my first serie of stupid lovesongs (lovesongs without lyrics, could you believe that ?) with this so-retro synthetiser.
- 1992 : My first sampler (Roland Dj-70). I really has fun with this machine ! Maybe not as powerful as Akai samplers but I find this machine easier to program, a lot more intuitive. I still have this machine in my cellar, I'm growing mushrooms in it.
- 1998 : Persorecords netlabel is on Internet ! I didn't have my own private server at that time, persorecords.com (then persorecords.org) was created around 2000-2001 with no success at all. Ah well...
- 2002 : I had a big break away from music to focus on fractal artwork. Music didn't care at all.
- 2007 : Back to business with the release of 3 EPs in a few months (L.A.A.P., Orgone, Mecanographie).
